This is even more the case when there were actions lasting hours in which ships remained locked together.

Best Wishes: AntoineAntoine Vannerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00490972848447907013noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4406619839841800067.post-38611263517492874052016-12-12T13:36:42.060-08:002016-12-12T13:36:42.060-08:00Many thanks Katherine - this is sage advice! If not there, try the British Library at Gibraltar, which is still under British control.
As with computers, the digitised Library databases today- it's all about 'How' u word ur search. You might also try Project Guttenberg. They have thousands of journals given them by present day relatives whom later immigrated to the U.S.
It's a puzzle- keep looking- my motto is: NEVER SAY DIE, TRY AGAIN ANOTHER DAY.Katherinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01459572293303950991noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4406619839841800067.post-87528619668661835452016-12-09T14:02:56.376-08:002016-12-09T14:02:56.376-08:00As someone who has not seen action I am surprised ...As someone who has not seen action I am surprised how few casualties there were given the amount of damage to the ship and the length of the engagement.

Given the small crew on the Pulteney I wonder how many times they fired the guns in between managing the ship.
